Show Us Your Life SUYL Link Up - Vacation Spots

Posted by Unknown at 5:33 PM 0 comments

Every Friday Kellys Korner has super fun link ups that everyone gets to join in on. Today's is your favorite vacation spots. Here are a few of the favorite places my family has enjoyed over the past year and a half. Fortunately, Baby Z is a super good traveler...not that she had a choice! Baby Z started her travels at the young age of 2 months when we made her tag along to the beaches of Florida...

Yep, thats Baby Z having her first layout on a sunny beach.

And this is Baby Z at Epcott Center after spending a few days lounging seaside. Even though the weather was extremely hot and humid I still consider it one of my favorite vacation spots thus far.

My all time favorite family vacation spot thus far has been....wait for it....
P A R I S...

Yes, believe it or not...the city of romance has a lot to offer no matter if you travel their alone, with your honey or with all your little honey's too. With the right expectations and attitude this city can be a wonderland for everyone. Their is so much to discover and explore. Even my 8 month old little one had a blast!

She owned that Palace of Versailles... =)
And lets face it...who doesn't love to sink into a comfy hotel bed at the end of a long day.
Dont be afraid to venture out with the little ones...whether it be to a local park or across the world. Traveling provides some of the greatest learning experiences for everyone!

Thanks for stopping by today! Hope to see you here again real soon.

Insta-Haul: Baby Gap

Posted by Unknown at 3:34 PM 0 comments

Baby Gap was having a pretty good sale this past weekend. I got these items for 40% off. I got two pairs of their soft leggings in some festive red and white colors. I love how the plain red ones are accentuated with sweet ankle ruffles. The top was too sweet to pass up and at 40% off it was a keeper. Its like a ruffled peplum top. The fabrics are super soft. Baby Gap is always having amazing sales going on ( and Gap Kids ) so check them out if you have a store near you or check them out online.

BEDA Day 5: Baby OOTD Sweet & Silver

Posted by Unknown at 4:01 PM 0 comments
I am a sucker for Toms on little ones chubby feet. Baby Z is sporting a sparkly silver pair we picked up the other day. We already own it in a smaller size in sparkly black and LOVE them so much! They fit her feet well, she can walk in them easily and most importantly they are just too dang cute. Every where we go people always stop us and ohhhh and awwwe over her Toms.
She is wearing a floral swing top from Janie and Jack scored on clearance and some light blue leggings from a United Colors of Benetton that we stopped at while in France earlier in the year.

Sweet gumballs, sparkly Toms and baby clothes on clearance. Ah the little things in life. =)

Mother of a Daughter...

Posted by Unknown at 10:02 AM 0 comments

Today's post is inspired by the Friday Link Up going on over at Kellys Korner. I love being the mother of my daughter. I had always, always wanted to have a little girl first and voila...I got one just a little over 10 months ago. Don't get me wrong, I would have been just as pleased with a son but their is just something about having girl.

I love knowing i'll always have my little shopping partner, reading partner and mani/pedi partner. Not that a son can't do these things with his mom but once again, its just always been a dream of mine to do that with a little girl. Plus, I love all things girly. Dresses, bows, shoes, makeup, nail polish, pink toys etc... I am excited to share in all this with my daughter.

But more than all this, I look forward to growing older with her each day. Teaching her new things, showing her the world and instilling in her values and skills that will get her through life.
I look forward to being there for her each and every day. I am proud to be a mother to my daughter.

Documenting Weight Loss...

Posted by Unknown at 10:30 PM 0 comments

Earlier in the year I let you guys know that I needed to loose weight for various reasons. For starters I have PCOS, secondly I will be TTC for #2 later on in the year and third because its just what needs to be done. Its a battle though. I decided to start documenting the process with quick vlogs. Not only will this give me something to look back on but it pressures me ( in a good way ) to stay on track and make substantial progress since I will be uploading them for anyone to view. I wont be posting them on this blog regurlary unless that is something that is requested so if you wish to follow along with me you can check them out on my YouTube channel here.
If you are venturing onto a weight loss journey be sure to share your story! Let me know if you are blogging or vlogging about it! We can all help each other.

Mommy Fails...Baths & Boots

Posted by Unknown at 11:13 PM 0 comments

So I had some interesting mommy fail moments in the last couple of days. I could blame it on lack of sleep or I could just own up to the fact that this mommy makes fails! (If that makes any sense at all).

Mommy Fail #1: Poor baby Z was getting her chubby little baby feet pushed, prodded and literally shoved unsuccessfully into an adorable pair of purple furry boots I scored off of Zulily. I incessantly kept at it only to throw up my hands in despair and swear off these boots as a waste of time and money. I threw them on the ground and told her she would have to do with her little socks instead. The next morning I spied the despicable boots laying on the floor, whisked them up to throw to the back of her closet only to realize that the boots were stuffed with tissue. Poor baby Z, no wonder she had been whimpering at my attempts to make her feet stylish.

Mommy Fail #2: It was time for Baby Z's bath. I stuck her in the tub with her favorite pink sparkly light up rubber ducky that she is obsessed with from Bath & Body Works. I always keep a watchful eye and arm on her (literally) as the bath fills up to just below waist level. She loves to sit and watch the tub fill up. However, on this particular evening my stomach was rumbling, quite loudly. I called for my husband and told him to keep his eye and arm on her so I could grab a quick bite from the kitchen. I pointed to the spot in the tub that he shoudl turn the water off when it gets to that level. I satisfied my stomach, came back into the bathroom where his watchful eye and arm were still upon her. However, the water was right below her chin. Literally. Poor Baby Z could't look down without water going into her mouth or nose. She didn't seem to mind as she was licking the water like a little puppy. Leaving daddy to bathe Baby Z = mommy fail.

Don'tworry guys, I assure you Baby Z is in good loving hands and im sure she will survive my mommy fail moments but I definitely need to keep track of these if for anything to have a good laugh one day in the future and to save any future children from my mommy brain.

Mommy Moments #1....

Posted by Unknown at 9:17 PM 0 comments
So I decided I want to start documenting little things from each day that Baby Z does. It will be a fun way for me to remember and look back upon little things that otherwise might be forgotten. I am going to call them Mommy Moments. I would like to document a little something that she did each day or at least each time I get a chance to. Today I put her in this adorable sailor outfit I purchased off of Zulily when I was about 5 months preggo with her. I'll admit I bought it in a larger size as well in a different color.
Today was the first day that I propped her up on her hands and knees and she would stay in that position (a crawling position) for a good few minutes. She even attempted to rock back and forth slightly. It was a proud mommy moment since I have been waiting for her to show any sign of crawling since around 5 months. Yes little Baby Z is a lazy one.

Share your mommy moments with me!

OOTD Baby Style: Take a Bow

Posted by Unknown at 6:35 PM 2 comments

Today was laundry day which means little Z had to settle for casual comfy clothes. She was set upon holding her little Carters teddy bear as her accessory today. I should enjoy that while it lasts because one day i'm sure her accessory wish list will be much more pricey. No matter how casual comfy little Z is she will always take a bow though.

We will start from top to bottom today.
  • Headband/bow is from Gymboree.
  • Pink longs leeve ruffle neck onsie is from Childrens Place. Actually is from a 2 piece dress set.
  • Floral pants are from Carters.
  • Pink birdie socks are from Pumpkin Patch.
Here is to bows and accessories.

Weightloss Wednesday : Week 1

Posted by Unknown at 10:16 PM 0 comments

You see that cute thing up there? I could easily blame her for my fatness but alas I know it was not her fault! I loved eating during pregnancy! I mean who doesn't? Oh wait....Miranda Kerr, Victoria Beckham, Angelina Jolie, Jessica Alba...i'll just stop now. I currently weigh 173.3 and have the goal of getting to 130. This is going to take a lot of work and dedication!

Today kicks off my first week of postpartum weight loss! I totally forgot to take a picture today so I will include one in Week 2. Thus the picture of what I ate for dinner will have to suffice. After having my baby girl 3.5 months ago, I think its about high time I get myself into action here. Chronicling this journey on my blog and YouTube channel will hopefully help me stay on track and motivate others to do so as well.
My plan for the weight loss is simple this time, as simple is usually better. For the first couple weeks I will consume only vegetables ( unlimited amounts), legumes, some fruits, tons of water and lots of lean proteins. I will re-assess this plan in a few weeks and decide what I can add in such as brown rice and such. I basically need to kick start my sluggish metabolism right now. I will be adding in some workouts slowly as well. In week 2 I will give you guys more details.

Here is to postpartum weight loss! If you are currently going through this as well or plan on it or have successfully completed it, please share! Also if you have a blog/vlog on this or know of someone who does please let me know so I can check it out!
