Holiday Gift Idea : Wooden Toy Rainbow

Posted by Unknown at 12:33 AM 0 comments
Seriously how cool is this wooden toy rainbow? I love the concept of using it to not only just for play but to teach colors and arranging/sorting sizes.
I also love the idea of supporting a small business during the holidays by purchasing such unique gifts. This piece is so pretty I think I would be tempted to place it on a shelf as a decor piece!
I found this wooden toy from ImaginationKids on Etsy. They make a ton of other amazing quality and super adorable wooden toys as well. Definitely worth checking out for your holiday shopping.

Girl Wearing Blue...

Posted by Unknown at 6:39 PM 3 comments
When Baby Z was born errr before she was even born my hand automatically grabbed every pink baby item in sight. Pink sleepers, socks, hats, onsies and yes even a pink bouncy chair.

While I still enjoy a splash of pink here and there, I must say that I have shucked it to the side in favor of other colors. I love blue on little girls now. Any shade and all shades. Embrace the blue for your little girl...you just may never look at pink the same way again.

Floral dress is from an Etsy Boutique called Baby Beenos. She makes such adorable items!
White capri leggings are from H&M. For plain colored leggings you must purchase from H&M! Super cheap and great quality.
Blue Sandals (that I can't stop obsessing over) are from Zara Baby. I dont believe they are selling these ones anymore but trust me, your bound to find at least 5 more pairs of shoes that you will be drooling over.

Have a happy day!

These super adorable and ultra girly ruffle bottomed pants are from Chasing Mermaids. I recently discovered this Etsy shop and fell in love with its whimisical little girls clothing items. The shop currently has up some 4th of July petal neck dresses that I have my eye on as well. This is my Etsy Pick of the Day and of course I could not help but choose it from something under kids items.

Be My Valentine Baby Photo Shoot: The Outfit

Posted by Unknown at 10:45 PM 0 comments

I am super excited about the owl + valentine day themed outfit I got for Baby Z's Valentine photos. When I spotted it on Etsy I knew instantly I just had to have it. I can't reinforce enough just how much I adore Etsy. Its the cutest 2 piece hot pink set that features owls that say "Owl Be Yours" and "Whooo Do You Love". Its trimmed in a heart patterned ruffle fabric and the shoulder ties are the sweetest ruffly ribbons.
Get a load of that pink mesh of cuteness. The awesome thing is that when I stumbled upon this dress, it was just a dress. However, if you have ever used Etsy you know that most all sellers love working with you on unique ideas and give you total creative freedom. I asked the seller whose shop is HairBowsForPrincesses if she could make a matching ruffle pant and a hairpiece. Voila!
So yes this is the outfit and I can't wait to put it on Baby Z. All these lovely photos were taken by the seller to show me what the outfit looked like when she was finished making it. Etsy has some of the best customer service ever!

Wood & Ribbons...Teething Bliss

Posted by Unknown at 9:41 PM 1 comments
Little Z has been teething for quite some time now. She started right around 4 months and at 7.5 months old she has her two little bottom teeth. However teething still persists as I am sure it will for quite some time, resulting in whining, drool, fingers in mouth and a tired mommy. She hates all plastic teethers. She loves cold wash cloths however I cant really whip these out on the go. She hates pacifiers and any and all other main stream teething items I have purchased. She loves sweatshirt strings. If she sees you wearing a sweatshirt with those all enticing sweatshirt string ties hanging down, she will do all she can to reach them and shove them in between her gums.
Then I found this little treasure on Etsy. Its wood and ribbons. Simple as that. Her and said wooden teether have become fast friends. It took them a few tries but now mommy has a tried and true baby calming item to whip out when on the go. It has wooden balls, a wooden ring, hanging ribbons and cloth covered balls.  It is made extremely well and comes in a variety of fabrics.
We even used it while waiting for a laptop to be fixed at Apple. I stumbled upon this all natural teether on an Etsy boutique KatandCompany. You can visit her shop here. Its such a cute boutique that also offers lots of different all natural wooden toy sets as an alternative to plastic toys. Everything looks so adorable. I spotted in her shop an all natural wooden kitchen play set that I absolutely cannot wait to buy for baby Z when she gets older.

Yay for a little less drool and a lot happier baby.

What teether works for your little one?

OOTD Baby Style: Once Upon a Dress

Posted by Unknown at 6:47 PM 0 comments
So as some of you may already know I have an obsession with baby clothes. So do a lot of the family and friends in my life as well. The result of this is an overstocked closet for little baby Z. Result of this? Baby outfit of the day or OOTD: baby style. Plus maybe it will give others with little girls a few moments of cuteness that they can understand and appreciate.

  • Dress with matching green onsie were a set a bought at a JBF consignment event. It is by Carters.
  • Black leggings are from Target, they are Circo brand. These are surprisingly soft.
  • Socks ( that dont quite match the outfit ) are Trumpette. Bought at a JBF consignment.
  • Hat with matching detachable bow are from Stroller Blanket Mom which is a baby boutique on Etsy.

This floral dress used to be long on her. To get more use out of your little ones summer dresses you can easily add leggings and a shirt underneath. Also if a dress starts getting too short, adding pants, tights or leggings underneath instantly turn it into a tunic.

Mommy Review Tuesday: Burp cloths from Etsy

Posted by Unknown at 10:50 PM 0 comments

You guys I have an official obsession with Etsy. For this Tuesdays mommy review I absolutely have to share a few items with you that I have recently purchased.  I purchased this amazing burp cloths because when I saw them I thought they were adorable. I never expected them to be such high quality with super attention to detail. I got one in a light pink with birds and flowers on it and the second one is a sage green and pink floral design.
Both of these handmade items were created with Alexander Henry fabrics. Love, love, love, love them. They are super soft, absorbent and just too dang cute. Plus its fun having something unique and handmade. I love how they came perfectly packaged with ribbons and handmade gift tags in case you are giving them to someone. These would definitely make great baby shower gift items.

The thing I love best about Etsy is that you are supporting ladies, the majority of them being mommies when you shop for baby items. If you want to check out these burp cloths you can find them at PLMDeZigns. She also makes adorable onesies, bibs and other unique baby items. I only paid $3.95 per each burpcloth.
You know your a mommy when...You have fun picking out a cloth to clean up drool and spit up!

Scrapbooking...sort of...

Posted by Unknown at 2:50 PM 3 comments
I love scrapbooks, DIY projects and creative ways to preserve memories and photographs. However, lately I have not had any free time on my hands at all! I wanted to chronicle the first 3 months of my daughters life via a scrapbook but absolutely could not find time to do it with all the other things I have going on right now. So I decided to, as I call it, Halfway Scrapbook. I found an awesome lady who makes mini scrapbooks and sells them to ladies like me who love scrapbooks but don't have time to work on them. I recently just recieved a mini scrapbook album from her that is personalized and all ready to go. All I have to do is add my photos and text. I am in love with it!
Just look at how cute the inside is. And I love the ribboned binding. Will I always use pre-made scrapbooks? No, but it works out for right now. Plus I love that it is from Etsy so it is supporting a woman instead of a large corporation. Once I get this filled I will post pictures so you guys can see what it looks like when you finish it. This one will make a perfect keepsake in the future and a perfect coffee table item for now. =)

If you want to check out her Etsy shop, it is called KnitRelief.

My Latest Obsession...ETSY!

Posted by Unknown at 11:13 PM 0 comments

So these days there are a lot of options when it comes to shopping for your little one online. You can find great deals on discount websites such as Zulily and Totsy. Gilt also offers designer duds for your little ones at heavily discounted prices. However, my latest obsession has been Etsy. I never gave Etsy much thought before but randomly decided to Google "baby" in the websites search bar the other day. And thus the obsession began. I can't wait to share with you all some of the great one of kind children's clothing items I have purchased. I will do a review on each piece along with the sellers boutique information.

In case you haven't heard of Etsy before, its a huge conglomerate of handmade goodies which means you more than likely are getting one of a kind items with great attention to detail. Look for reviews coming up!
