Trendy Tot Tuesday: T-Shirts and Maxi-Skirts!

Posted by Unknown at 4:57 PM 0 comments
Its Trendy Tot Tuesday over here again! Be sure to check out Table For Three to check out all the styling little cuties and to participate as well if you like!

Sometimes in a pinch we just throw random pieces together and they come out kind of cute!

Baby Z was enjoying her late afternoon stroll in a Zara t-shirt and flowy maxi skirt! The shoes are from Target.
Yes that is my shadow trying to capture moments!

One of the best things about having little ones is the constant reminder to stop and appreciate the little things in life...the unexpected beauty. Baby Z always stops to admire the little things.

Baby Z's Style: Ready For Rain...

Posted by Unknown at 2:35 PM 1 comments
The forecast is calling for some pre-spring showers in our neck of the woods. No better time than this to pull out the new wellies in a super fun springy color. Baby Z loves her Hunter wellies but sure doesn't love looking at the camera anymore. If I am lucky enough to catch a fleeting glimpse of her face their will surely be no smile in sight. We will just call it photography art. Hair in face, hand by ear, wandering gaze "photography art". =)

White Knit Military Jacket is from Pumpkin Patch last year.
Nautical striped T-Shirt is from H&M;currently in stores.
Red Leggings are from Childrens Place.
I purchased Baby Z's Hunter boots directly from Hunter so I could choose from a more wide selection of colors.

Mommy Monday: J.Crew T-Shirts

Posted by Unknown at 5:05 PM 0 comments
Every Mommy Monday I want to start off with a quote I have enjoyed during the previous week!

First off...Happy March! Time just slips away from me and before I know it...my little blog has been gravely abandoned! Secondly...yay for the return of Mommy Mondays where I can talk with no abandon about anything that I love or want to love, have or want to have as a mommy!!! As a mommy blogger I usually talk about my daughter, my daughter and my daughter ( and I only have 1 daughter..1 child). You see, us mommies tend to neglect ourselves sometimes which is not good because as we have all heard before, a happy momma means a happy family. So lets jump right into this Mommy Monday post which is going to basically be me showing you some J. Crew T's I am currently craving. With the birth of Baby Z my fashion took a huge plummet. I happily overlooked dresses, purses, skirts and even t-shirts for pint sized ruffles, headbands and tights with cute teddy faces on the bum. My daughter dressed and dresses better than me. Mommy dresses her...do we see a problem here? Mommy needs a comeback and mommy is currently working on one. Now enough rambling and on to the J.Crew T's!

Crewcuts Cute Dresses...

Posted by Unknown at 3:45 PM 0 comments
I recently discovered Crewcuts...and the adorable ladylike dresses they make for the little girls in your life. It was a 'ah' moment for sure. I may just have to test out Crewcuts and order a few pieces to see what their quality is like. If they are anything like their mother J. Crew, I am sure I will not be disappointed.

All pieces discovered here.

P.S. Sorry for the recent onslaught of annoyingly small photos. Blogger has suddenly decided I cannot post large pictures. This issue is being worked on and I hope to have it solved very soon!

XoXo.

Baby clothing : To Save or Not To Save

Posted by Unknown at 3:46 PM 2 comments
Baby Z has been growing faster than a weed these last few weeks. My one Tupperware container on the garage shelf of by gone sizes is now being joined by another massive sized plastic containers. These containers have been lovingly packed up with little Z's adorable outfits.
At just about 11 months she is now in 12 months and 18 months sized clothing, with the 18th month size fitting more reasonably. Ahhh, where has my tiny little newborn gone! I have thus far saved every clothing item she has ever owned not including items that were badly stained. I pack them away secretly hoping that one day in the future I am lucky enough to have another little girl who can use all these clothes.
Then I started thinking, does everyone else baby clothes hoard as I have been doing? Do you save your pieces in hopes being able to reuse it on a future child and how long do you go about saving all these tiny fabric treasures? Perhaps you save your favorite items and consign or donate all the extras? Let me know loves!

Adorable kid clother Pumpkin Patch is having their mid season sale with tons of their adorable styles being offered at up to 50% off. I personally fill that their customer service is excellent and the shipping is very reasonable. You can check out the sale here!
I love finding unique baby clothes at great prices!

Diane Von Furstenburg for Baby Gap

Posted by Unknown at 3:05 PM 0 comments

I will admit I was pretty excited to find out a while back that Diane Von Furstenburg was going to design a collection of baby and toddler clothes for Gap. I love Gap for my little one and I love to drool over DVF collections for women. I anxiously awaited the clothing release and told myself I would purchase 3 items from the collection for Baby Z. Yes, I told myself this even before seeing the collection itself. I am a bit of a shopping junkie when it comes to certain items. The collection was released and I hurriedly logged onto Gap.com, clicked the Infant Girl tab and voila...brightly colored DVF baby items were staring at me from the screen.

The collection consists of modern designed dresses and one pieces that are brightly colored in almost neon like hues. The Wrap Rompers looked adorable but I couldn't get over the pricing on these. Was it really worth $45.00 for the infant sizing or $60.00 for the toddler sizing?

I love these banded print dresses the most out of the collection however I felt the price to be a bit steep. Yes I know its a designer collaboration but I just assumed it would be priced just a tad lower since Gap was the market house for these items. I decided I would go on over to Gap to check out the entire collection as parts of it were already sold out online shortly after it was released. Sadly, I walked out empty handed. The dresses were very adorable but I didn't feel they were worth their hefty price tag. The quality of the wrap dress did not meet my expectations. I still love the banded print dresses and felt that they were of good quality but decided to take my chances on seeing if they will go on sale or not. I saw an adorable pair of baby shoes that looked like they were made very well at under $30.00 but they were out of the size I needed.

Overall, I felt that this line was unique in appearance but the quality was not worth the price in my opinion. Of course if any of these items go on sale I might just snatch up a few pieces. Did you purchase anything from this line? You can visit this collection at Baby Gap.

All photos in this post were taken from Baby Gap DVF Collection website.

Baby Stains...

Posted by Unknown at 4:12 PM 2 comments
I just love dressing up Baby Z in all her cute little outfits. Im actually a little bit addicted to baby clothing. So its a little depressing that some of her cute clothing items are getting stained sometimes after just one use. I plan on saving everything that she has in case we ever have a little girl again. I am big on reusing baby clothing and items but I would not want to save stained outfits. This staining problem has only been as of recent since she has started eating more and more solid foods. I discoverd that Dreft, which is the baby deteregent brand that I have been using does not work on stains of any sort. I recently picked up a Dreft baby stain prevention pen. Its like a Tide stain removing pen but for babies. It has not made any noticiable difference with removing/preventing stains. So in the quest for stain removal I picked up All Free Clear which is supposed to be safe on baby skin and stronger than Dreft. Nope, not really any luck their either. Am I just doomed to loose half her wardrobe to stains? I do utilize bibs but she still swipes her arms over her mouth quicker than I can clean her mouth off.
So, do I switch over to regular strength detergents or would those even work? Do I just suck it up and realize I wont be able to save everything she wears? Or gasp...do I have to do laundry more often than my once a week to prevent stains from "soaking" in? Do you have a baby laundry detergent that works wonders for you? What is your baby laundry routine? Please share as I would love to know!

From Maternity to MOMternity...

Posted by Unknown at 6:55 PM 2 comments
Yes, unfortunately my title is referring to jeans. Somewhere in between getting pregnant and having a 7.5 month old daughter my once exciting fresh blue maternity jeans have become my depressing faded momternity jeans. Ahhh that good old stretchy flesh colored band. It used to cradle such a precious thing. Buying your first pair of maternity jeans was like being inducted into the official pregnancy club. Wearing them 7 months later...well that's like being inducted into the official 'you're a slouchy mom now' club.
Will I ever see a button waistband again or are my momternity jeans destined to become my eternity jeans? While you have got to love the stretch of an all surrounding piece of belly fabric, you know that the waistband jean is just so much cooler, younger, fresher and confidence boosting. Its time to bend over to pick up that fallen baby toy with pride not with fear of your way past pregnancy stretchy band showing. Its time to stop tugging your shirt ends down every five minutes in order to cover ALL that fabric attached to the non existent waistband.

Here is to kicking momternity jeans to the curb well at least till its time for them to be used for what they are rightfully intended for...maternity! I should not be considering TTC for #2 while still sporting these jeans from being pregnant with baby #1! Sin!!
