Holiday Snowman Cookies...

Thanks to a certain...ahem...Disney Flick, snowmen are all the rage at all times now. This holiday I think it would be super fun to hone in on some snowman themed cookies/candies/desserts since it will definitely peak the interest of the littles and because they are just so darn cute. This Melting Snowman Oreo Cookie ball from Cookies & Cups looks amazing and would be a good holiday themed project to do with the little ones.

These uber adorable melting snowman cookies are easy to whip up in a pinch and let the littles decorate to their Olafs content..errr... I mean hearts content. I found these cute guys over at Swanky Recipes.

Last but not least I love this unique twist on a holiday snowman cookie. Its a snowflake with an adorable snowman face. Kids and adults alike will love this and all you need is a snowflake cookie cutter and some polka dot making skills.  You can read about these guys over at Redbook.

I just posted a haul video of some Janie & Jack goodies! As usual I hit up their sales which are always happening. You really dont ever need to purchase anything at full price at Janie & Jack as it will always go on sale within a few weeks. =)

The Simple Things...

In 2013 I want to take some time out of each day to notice and appreciate the little things in life...such as discovering the unique beauty of leaves. Our little ones do it. =)

Turquoise scarf was purchased from Zara last year. It is no longer available but they are having their amazing semi annual sale and have similar ones such as this one.

Light grey blazer was purchased a few months back from H&M. Unfortunately you cannot shop off of H&M online if you live here in the states. 

Leggings are Circo brand found at Target. And they are on major clearance right now.

Grey sueded fringe booties are from Zara and currently on sale.

Insta-Haul: Baby Gap

Baby Gap was having a pretty good sale this past weekend. I got these items for 40% off. I got two pairs of their soft leggings in some festive red and white colors. I love how the plain red ones are accentuated with sweet ankle ruffles. The top was too sweet to pass up and at 40% off it was a keeper. Its like a ruffled peplum top. The fabrics are super soft. Baby Gap is always having amazing sales going on ( and Gap Kids ) so check them out if you have a store near you or check them out online.

Valentines Day Breakfast Goodies...

Whip up some festive heart shaped breakfast items this Valentines. Whip them up for the kiddos, for your significant other or heck even just for yourself. I am not sure why but when you take a round pancake and turn it into a heart it just tastes that much sweeter. Drizzling some that are still piping hot from the stove with a berry flavored syrup and a cinnamon butter sounds delectable! The yummy photo from above can be found here.

Would you look at that adorable piece of toast with a heart fried egg center! So simple, all you need is a heart shaped cookie cutter, place bread in hot pan and crack egg into opening. Super duper edible cuteness! I found this photo here.

Heart shaped french toast? Yes please, i'll take all three. You can serve this with mixed berries and sparkling cider for the kiddos.

My perfect idea of a Valentines Day breakfast? Red Velvet Pancakes and iced coffee. Amazing.

Buy Buy Baby Shopping Haul...

Pottery Barn for Kids mini haul...

I picked up this Zebra Bath Wrap at Pottery Barn for kids last weekend. Its almost to cute to use. This is definitely a baby splurge so we will see if it is worth it. These cute animal themed towels don't come cheap. I justified my purchase by reminding myself that all the bath towels we currently own are getting that ratty look and are way to small for Baby Z. A few of my friends swear by these towels, stating they are the best out there. We will see. I really want the pink and purple owl one but don't know how to justify another one of these just yet.

I also picked up from Pottery Barn for Kids this cute little wooden colored caterpillar. This purchase is to aid me and Baby Z on our quest for wooden toys instead of plastic. You can flip the little wooden parts around to see different colors and its attached to some sort of strong yet flexible rope. So far its a hit. That makes this my all natural wooden toy hit number 2. Yay!
