Holiday Gift Idea : Wooden Toy Rainbow

Posted by Unknown at 12:33 AM 0 comments
Seriously how cool is this wooden toy rainbow? I love the concept of using it to not only just for play but to teach colors and arranging/sorting sizes.
I also love the idea of supporting a small business during the holidays by purchasing such unique gifts. This piece is so pretty I think I would be tempted to place it on a shelf as a decor piece!
I found this wooden toy from ImaginationKids on Etsy. They make a ton of other amazing quality and super adorable wooden toys as well. Definitely worth checking out for your holiday shopping.

Friday Review and Giveaway: Disposable Placemats

Posted by Unknown at 8:11 AM 1 comments

Disposable placemats were one of those items I thought I would never need but have turned out to be useful on more than one occasion! They are large adhesive backed patterned placemats that you can stick to the table and place your little ones food on. I have got the most use out of them on trips especially overseas where high chairs are not readily available. If you aren't trusting the hygiene of a restaurant high chair you could also place it on the tray. If for anything they are nice to keep around just in case you need to whip one in in an unexpected situation.
I am giving away one bag of 24 disposable placemats by Babies R Us. To enter you must be a subscriber to this blog since giveaways are for my readers. =) You must also comment below sharing if you have ever used a product like this and did you find them useful.
The winner will be announced in next weeks Friday Review and Givaway. The winner of last weeks is gloriamarie. Please contact me at mrsmommytalk@gmail.com.

Friday Review & Giveaway: Boogie Wipes

Posted by Unknown at 10:33 AM 2 comments

I absolutely love Boogie Wipes. They have been my grimy face, crusty nose savior more than once during Baby Z's 10.5 months of life. Unlike using diaper wipes which many be to harsh on your little ones face skin, Boogie Wipes are saline infused and gentle on little ones dirty faces. The wipes are created with a natural saline to help combat mucous that is caused by having a cold or allergies. I always keep a to go package in my diaper bag to use just while we are out and about to keep not only her nose clean but her chubby face as well. I feel that they are gentle enough to use on a daily basis and they work great. A bonus is that they are also paraben, alcohol and phthalate free. I also love that they are super thick and soft. My favorite scent is Great Grape but it comes in a variety of scents including an unscented one.

One reader will win a 3 pack of these Boogie Wipes that include the Great Grape Scent, Unscented and Minty Menthol. To enter simply ensure that you are a subscriber of this blog through Google Friend Connect and leave me a comment below sharing what your go to facial wipe is for your little ones. Winner will be announced in the post on next Fridays Review & Giveaway.

Baby Review: Earths Best Organic Baby Food

Posted by Unknown at 11:30 PM 0 comments

Baby Z's first solid baby foods were by the brand Earths Best. I knew that I wanted to use organic baby food whenever I was not able to give her home made baby food. Lets face it, I had vision upon vision of whipping up and storing ALL of Baby Z's baby food but alas that has not happened . I came across Earths Best organic baby food in little glass jars and have loved them ever since.

They have multiple size jars, multiple flavors and a good variety of mixed fruits and veggies to help those little ones get those greens down. But of course for me, my favorite part is that the fruits and veggies used to make the product have no pesticides, herbicides or chemical fertilizers. No genetically modified foods were used in the making of their baby foods. They also use whole grains in any baby food item containing oatmeal. Their are no added starches, sugars, salts or colors. Basically their are no additives which is what I was looking for in a baby food product.

So far Baby Z has loved all her Earths Best foods and so has her mommy (don't deny it, you know you occasionally swipe a bite of your littles ones baby food).

What is your favorite baby food brand?

Burts Bees is the Bees Knees...

Posted by Unknown at 11:29 AM 0 comments
Cheesy blog title? Yes. Cheesy baby product? Nope. Im actually in love with this baby wash and shampoo in one product. If you are used to buying Johnson & Johnson baby products, this may seem a bit pricey but it lasts a long time and is a high quality baby item in my opinion. I used Amazon Subscribe & Save to get it for a little bit cheaper but you can find this product in most drug stores here in America. I am not sure if it is sold in other countries.

Reasons I love Burts Bees Baby Bee Shampoo & Wash:
  • Fragrance free & tear free.
  • Plant based.
  • Cleans naturally with Aloe, Oat flour and soy proteins.
  • Free of harsh chemicals such as sulfates.
  • Reasonably priced for being a natural/chemical free product.
I know that the Baby Bee line has lots of other natural products in their line. Have you tried any?

Mommy Review: Dr Browns Spoons

Posted by Unknown at 11:11 AM 2 comments
I love these Dr. Brown's Designed To Nourish Long Spatula Spoons so much I just had to share it with you all. When I first spotted them while shopping for baby spoons I thought they were the weirdest looking things ever. Not to mention that the word "gimmicky" was crossing my mind as well. Something strange possessed me to buy them instead of the traditional looking Gerber baby spoons and then me and these spoons fell in love.
  • The spatula edge makes for easy peasy wiping of excess food that is always all around my daughters mouth.
  • The long handle has a awesome grip and really does reach every nook and cranny of your baby food jar and/or cleans out that baby food bowl easily.
  • Don't be fooled by the large looking appearance of the mouth part, it really isn't. My daughter has a smaller sized mouth and these work perfectly for her.
  • BPA free...always a plus
  • Comes in 4 pack and are cute. Cuteness counts.
I purchased mine at Buy Buy Baby but I see that Amazon as well ast Babies R Us carries them.

I give these 5 out 5 mommy stars. Have you tried these?
